The Phono del Sol Music & Food Festival is back! Let's dive right into the details that will set you up for smooth sailing come June 15th. But first, do you have your advance donation wristband yet? If you haven't already, donate now to get your wristband for $2 off drinks all day and more sweet perks.
LOCATION & TRANSPORTATION
The Phono del Sol Music & Food Festival takes place at San Francisco’s Potrero del Sol Park, with two festival entrances, one at 25th Street and Utah Street, and another at 25th and San Bruno Street.
Attendees are strongly encouraged to use public transportation, and Potrero del Sol is conveniently situated near multiple public transit options. BART riders can walk to Potrero del Sol from the 24th Street Mission Station, while MUNI riders can use the 9, 10, 19, 27, 33, and 48 lines.
A limited amount of first-come, first-served bike parking will be available at the festival entrance at 25th Street and Utah Street. Please take your valuables with you, as we are not responsible for any loss or theft in the bike parking area.
Parking in the area is extremely limited. If you do drive please be respectful of our neighbors and do not block driveways or crosswalks.
Please direct your ride-share vehicles to drop off at San Bruno and 25th St.
Hours & Entry
Festival gates will open at 12 pm, with music beginning promptly at 1 pm. This year Phono del Sol is FREE and open to all!
However, we do need your support to help put on the show, so please donate in advance to get your Flamingo, Phono, or Sol VIP wristband and lots of perks including $2 off drinks all day!
If you donated online in advance, you can check in at the festival entrance with your e-ticket to pick up your wristband and merch items.
Donation Stations will also be open at festival entrances during the event for wristband purchases and credit card donations. Donations benefit the admission-free event and The Bay Bridged’s local cultural programs.
Pets are welcome at the festival, but must not be aggressive or disruptive, and must be under the owner’s control, in a carrier or on a short leash, at all times. Be aware that pets can be very sensitive to noise.
The Potrero del Sol/La Raza Skate Park will be open regular hours during the event.
Festival entry is subject to the following conditions:
Attendees and their belongings are subject to search. Any prohibited item that is surrendered to security at entry gates can be retrieved at Lost and Found (San Bruno - Donation Station). Allowed and prohibited items are subject to change. Festival staff and security personnel reserve the right to make the final determination on allowed and prohibited items.
Entry into Phono del Sol constitutes your consent for the Festival and licensed parties to use, in any manner or purpose without payment, your picture in photographs and video taken at the event.
Access
Arrive early for best seating. Seating is first-come, first-served.
For the safety and comfort of attendees, the park may close to admittance if capacity is reached.
Management reserves the right to revoke admittance.
Backstage areas are restricted to authorized personnel.
Unattended personal items, such as ground covers, bags, blankets, etc., will be removed from the park and can be retrieved at Lost and Found.
One person can occupy a maximum space of approximately 5x7 feet with a blanket/ground cover in the park. Umbrellas, tents, chairs, and large shade structures are not allowed in the park.
Large tarps are not allowed.
Please be considerate so everyone can enjoy the day!
If the park reaches capacity, it will be closed to further admittance, but attendees will still be able to access the San Bruno and Utah street festival grounds.
Food & beverages
There will be a variety of great food and drink options available for purchase throughout the festival grounds. Come hungry! Food vendors and bars accept cash and credit card payment. Donate at any wristband level and receive $2 off every drink all day!
Unopened bottles of non-alcoholic beverages will be allowed. Opened containers must be empty before entering the festival grounds. Water refills will be available on-site for free.
Accessibility
There will be an ADA-accessible platform located near the festival's bandshell stage. The platform has a limited capacity and space is available on a first come, first served basis. ADA-accessible restrooms are available in the restroom area on the festival grounds.
Please Don’t Bring:
Weapons, fireworks, explosives, chains, or laser pointers
Alcohol (we’ll have beer and cocktail bars on-site – bring your valid ID for admission)
Illegal substances
Large or bulky containers, including large or hard-sided coolers, lawn chairs, picnic baskets, or large backpacks
Large tarps, high-back chairs, umbrellas, tents or shade structures
Glass containers
Instruments
Professional still cameras or audio/video recording equipment
Amplified sound, bullhorns, or speakers.
Any item that can be used to disturb the peace, endanger other attendees, and/or cause damage to people or property.
No illegal, unauthorized or unlicensed vending will be permitted.
Smoking of any kind, including electronic or vapor cigarettes, is not allowed anywhere in the park, as stated in the City of San Francisco Health Code.
do Bring: a Reusable Water Bottle
A city ordinance prohibits us from selling bottled water at the festival. Please bring an empty reusable water bottle to use at our water filling station inside Potrero del Sol Park. Please empty your reusable bottle before arriving or you will be required to empty it at the festival gates. If you don't have a reusable bottle, compostable cups will also be available for purchase.
medical needs
We will have nurses and EMTs on site to offer any emergency medical attention required.
Security
The safety and comfort of our attendees is very important. If you have a concern or witness unsafe activities, please speak with Event Staff or Security.
Volunteers
Phono del Sol is currently looking for volunteers before and during the event in exchange for access to the festival. To sign up, fill out this form or email us and we will be in touch.
Trash, Compost & Recycling
Trash, compost, and recycling containers are located throughout the festival grounds. Please dispose of your trash. Pack out what you pack in!
Potrero del Sol is a public park…help keep it beautiful.
Lost & Found
Lost and found items are stored at the Donation Station at San Bruno and 25th Streets. After the event, please call 415.375.3370.
Please be aware of your personal items. The Festival cannot assume responsibility for lost or stolen items.
Information
For questions and general information about the Festival, stop by a Donation Station located at the festival entries. Our volunteers will be happy to assist you.
Merchandise
Phono del Sol festival merchandise is available at the Merch Booth on Utah street. Pick up a tote, bandana, or commemorative metal cup to support Phono! Sales benefit the admission-free festival and The Bay Bridged’s local cultural programs.
Water
Refillable Water Station
There is a refillable water station located on the West side of the park near the skate park. You can fill your own water bottles, or you can purchase a reusable cup at the merch booth.
Weather
Weather in San Francisco is always unpredictable, though Potrero del Sol usually benefits from the Mission sun. There are only a few areas with shade in the park. Come prepared with layers and use sunscreen in all weather, and remember to stay hydrated!
Emergencies
In the event of an emergency, please follow instructions from Security and House staff or any announcements from stage.
